Crafty Pick ‘n’ Mix with the Ministry of Craft

Calling all crafters! If you find yourself in Manchester city centre on November 26th then you could definitely do worse than while away a few hours (or even the entire day, which will probably happen – once I get crafting, I can’t seem to stop) at Crafty Pick ‘n’ Mix at Fred Aldous in the Northern Quarter.

Not only will makers’ stalls be set up for the day – a great place to go for a few of your Christmas pressies this year – but you will also have the chance to get a bit crafty yourself, under the watchful eye of one of the Ministry of Craft‘s tutors. There are two taster sessions you can sign up for, making either an uber-festive vintage style present sack or a pink-a-licious tote bag. You’ll also have the opportunity to check out the Ministry’s programme for the new year, so you can decide what crafts you want to take up well ahead of time.

Little Paper Cakes – which just held its first cupcake-icing session on behalf of the Ministry a few weeks ago – will be on hand with some yummy-scrummy bakey treats and you will be able to pick up a couple of fabric bargains as well, thanks to Stitch Me Lane.

Looks like it’ll be a giggle, so if you’re looking for something different to do on the 26th, give yourself a crafty Christmas kick up the kaboodle and join in with the magical Ministry’s day of fun.
